We have sewing and quilting classes! We are excited to have you join us. Check our Calendar Tab for full class schedule and details

Block Party
This is our block of the month quilt-a-long. We will be making rows each month from the book "Quilting Row By Row". It's held every 4th Saturday at 10 am. There are kits available. The first class is January 27th.

Free Motion Quilting Basics
Long Arm quilting machine not required!

This is the class that will help you quilt with your regular domestic
sewing machine, only requirements are straight stitch and feed dogs that can be lowered. You will get plenty of quilting experience while learning 6 different quilting designs. Now you can gain the confidence to quilt your own quilts! (No class pass)

Coming soon:
Beginning Quilters and Intermediate Kids Sewing
 Piecing a Sampler Quilt

The project will be a 9 block sampler quilt and will be for kids who are confident sewers ages 10-17,  with teacher’s pre-approval, and adults interested in beginning to quilt.  There will be a class fee as well as fabric and tool purchases required. Class will be once a month on Saturday afternoon.

Skills learned will be: fabric values and selection, rotary cutting, matching seam allowances, various levels of block piecing, squaring blocks, and assembly of the quilt top.

  1. I took that purse class mentioned above, the first one. My purse is SO cute and the class was way fun. I might just take that class again to get some of my questions answered that I had when I was finishing up the purse.

  3. Do you offer any Saturday classes for individuals that work full time?

  4. Fabric and sewing has always fascinated me, but I'm not very good at it. The Buggy Barn tree pattern looks really cool. It doesn't look easy at first glance. Maybe I should try to come to a class and learn more. http://www.jmsewvac.com/Mach-class.html
